As a teenager, Nadia’s life was shattered when the infamous Night Fire Pirates raided her home, killed her parents, and took her captive. Instead of succumbing to despair, she climbed the ranks, becoming the right hand of their leader, Mecapal, and eventually plotting to take control herself.

In 1585 BC, while raiding the hidden South American city of Tikpak, Nadia uncovered a cursed treasure, one that rapidly aged anyone who touched it. Determined to claim its riches without consequence, she tricked the Night Fire Pirates into stealing it, secretly leading them to the Cave of Jaega in Cape Vedra, where she believed the legendary Fountain of Youth lay hidden.

But things went terribly wrong. The Tikpak warriors pursued them, and in the chaos, the pirates’ ship was wrecked inside the cave. Trapped and desperate, Nadia alone discovered the Fountain of Youth. Hoping to break the curse that made her age ten years for every one, she drank from it, but it only halted time, binding her to the cave for centuries.

She later escaped, seeking a true cure. Along the way, she encountered a Spanish cult obsessed with immortality. She struck a deal with them, but when she learned their dark rituals would cost her unborn child’s life, she fled. Nadia raised her daughter, Zayana, in the cave for centuries, until one tragic day, Zayana was swept away by the tides, leaving Nadia to believe she had drowned.

Now, centuries later, Nadia is better known as Sofia Vesper, a legendary treasure hunter. But her true mission is far greater than finding the last descendants of the Tikpak shamans, the only ones who can break her curse and finally set her free.

And the key to it all? A single lost pirate medallion, now in the hands of a young archaeologist named Clare Grey.
